Slater Hall was intentionally designed to look and feel residential rather than institutional, so residents feel welcome in their new home. 24/7 building staffing, secured parking and secured entrances ensure resident safety and comfort.
Common spaces for residents include a kitchen for cooking lessons and communal dining area, TV lounge and laundry facilities. An administrative suite houses offices for case managers providing support services for residents.
This new three-story building was constructed on a formerly vacant lot that was deed restricted by the City of Cincinnati to be used for Affordable Housing. The development team faced challenges in getting appropriate easements to access the historical underlying street grid in order to facilitate development and construction.
