The design team had to solve for a reduced buildable area between the required front setback and a large utility easement covering much of the property. While the easement restricted the buildable area, it allowed for generous back yards.
The design takes advantage of the site sloping upward from the street, providing a single car garage and partially covered driveway parking at the ground floor while giving the second floor living space access to a back yard.
The mass of the facades is broken up by large windows and multiple planes with contemporary exterior finishes. Metal siding combined with stacked bond brick give these rowhomes a modern feel.
Large windows at both the front and back of the units flood the main living space with an abundance of natural light. High end finishes and open floor plans create bright and airy kitchens and living areas on the second floor.
