The Paramount Building’s iconic Art Deco rotunda stands as the flagship symbol of the Walnut Hills commercial district and its revitalization as a desirable neighborhood in which to live, work and play. Built in 1931 at the intersection of Gilbert Avenue and E. McMillan Street, the building began as a department store with offices on the second floor, adjacent to the (no longer existing) Paramount movie theatre.
New Republic was hired to restore this building to its former glory and give it a sustainable future. After decades of deterioration, this prominent building in Walnut Hills was ripe for revitalization and the project capitalized on and continued the momentum created by Trevarren Flats.
