This project involved tenant improvements to a basic “vanilla box” corner retail space in the Hauck building, a renovated historic structure that is part of the Treverran Project.
New Republic worked closely with the Client to design a space that met dual elements of their business: a music venue and a coffee/cocktail bar. Patron seating and a small kitchen outfitted to provide a limited menu complete the program. The team solved for spatial capacity challenges presented by the historic setting.
Rich warm finishes provide flexibility for both a daytime coffee house and a nightclub, and the LED lighting enhances the ability to set the appropriate mood depending on function. The result is a warm, inviting, and intimate space for patrons to relax and enjoy music, beverages, and the neighborhood.
