A new market-rate apartment building in the Mt. Adams neighborhood of Cincinnati.
New Republic accepted the challenge of designing for a hillside site many considered “unbuildable”. The team developed a concept that considered all the various site constraints yet still felt like the building “belonged” on the site. The team addressed several geotechnical concerns with the site. Hillside slippage, a decaying city retaining wall, and extreme topography all made the site challenging to develop.
